2020 Hairstyles

Umkippen über Geflecht 2020

I love a good combo hairstyle! You can use and combine different braids to create a completely new look! The Flip Over Braid uses braids, flips and twists. (Sounds like a gymnastic routine!)

This hairstyle is perfect to add to your list of sporty or sporty hairstyles.

Required items: brush, rat tail comb, spray bottle, hair ties, hair spray, hairpins {if desired}.

Time required: 5-10 minutes

Difficulty: medium

Step by step instructions:

1- Start by sharing the hair in the middle. Secure a page with a rubber band to keep it out of the way for a while.
2. Pick up a small triangular section at the front of the page where you begin.
3. Start a Dutch braid. This means that you cross an outer strand under the middle strand. Then cross the opposite outer strand under the middle strand. Now move on by crossing the outer strands under the middle strand, only now will you add new hair to the outer strand before crossing.
4. Once you have braided about 4 stitches, you will change it a bit. Take only the lower outer strand, take the half and flip it over the head. Take your new piece and add it to the remaining half of this lower strand and cross it under the middle strand.
5. Remember to cut only pieces on the lower outer strand while braiding. Continue the braid down to the hair.
6. Once you have no new hair, add a normal three-strand braid a few stitches and fasten it with a rubber band.
7. Repeat steps 2-6 on the opposite side of the head.
8. Take your two braids and combine them at the neck. Secure with a rubber band. Now release your two temporary elastics that keep your two braids separate.
9. Go back to the front of one side and take the first three threads that you left out of your pigtails.
10. Cross the first strand (closest to the front) under the middle strand. Cross the third strand under the middle strand.
11. Now cross the first strand (closest to the front) under the middle strand. Then add a new strand to the third strand and cross it under the middle. Continue to braid by adding only new pieces to the top of the braid.
12. If you no longer have any new hair to add to your braid, make a few stitches of a normal three-thread braid and attach it with a temporary small rubber band.
13. Repeat steps 9-12 on the opposite side of the head.
14. Take a braid and fold it up. Safe with a few bobby pins.
15. Repeat on the other side.
16. You should now have an X with two pigtails and a ponytail in the middle.
17. Turn the ponytail upwards. Put the two braids under the ponytail and join them together. Secure it with a small rubber band.
18. At this point you could leave the ground as a ponytail. Or … I picked up the top and made a three-strand braid all the way down. Secure with a small rubber band.
19. Go back and pancake your braid.
20. Start from the bottom to roll. Roll braid into a flower and secure with hair clips.
21. Repeat 18-20 on the other side.
