Halo braid 2020

The school is back in session and that means we are all looking for new hairstyles! We have a simple hairstyle that would be great for anything from any day at school or homecoming.

The Halo Braid is a perfect mix of easy, fast and beautiful. This would be great to add to your homecoming list or even prom!

Required items: brush, rat tail comb, spray bottle, hairpins, hair ties, hairspray {if desired}.

Time required: 5-8 minutes

Difficulty: Medium

Step by step instructions:

1. Make a part from the front to the neck. (about 2 “above the ear) Do this on both sides of the head.
2. Attach the middle part to a ponytail that rests on top / back of the head.
3. Split the ponytail in half and cut out one side temporarily.
4. Starting on one side of the head / base (the side you ponytail down halfway) start a French braid. If you add hair from the top, take the hair out of the ponytail.
5. Your braid should be on your partial line to cover the line.
6. If you have no new hair, continue to the end of the hair and fasten it with a small rubber band.
7. Repeat steps 4-6 on the other side of the head.
8. Take a braid and wrap it around and put the ends forward.
9. Repeat with the second braid.
10. Secure braids with hair clips.
11. Finish with hairspray {if desired}.
