Braid Styles

Dutch glitter braids 2020

I have a question. What makes everything better (except chocolate …)? Of course, GLITZER! In this tutorial we have combined Dutch braids and glitter for a simple hairstyle.

You can use this idea for so many occasions. Add a boho dress in the summer and head to your favorite festival. In the fall, add a poofy skirt and a unicorn horn and you have a magical costume!

Required items: brush, rat tail comb, spray bottle, hair ties, hairspray {if desired}. Mixing bowl, hair gel, glitter and paint / craft brush or hair dye brush (purchase in a beauty shop for about one dollar)

Time required: 10-15 minutes

Difficulty: Medium

Step by step instructions:

1. Cut your hair first. Katie started with a deep side part and went diagonally to the other side. But you can go in the middle or even in a zigzag!
2. Temporarily secure a section with a rubber band.
3. Pick up a small portion of the hair from the front of the section you are first braiding. Divide into three parts and start a Dutch braid.
4. A Dutch braid is made just like a French braid, instead of crossing the strands over the middle strand, they are crossed under the middle strand.
5. After the first complete stitch, take a small piece of new hair and add it to the outer strands before going under the middle strand.
6. Continue braiding until you reach the bottom of the hair. Secure with a small rubber band.
7. Repeat a Dutch braid on the opposite side of the head.
8. Next you need some hair gel and glitter. Mix them together in a small bowl and brush on your hair where desired.
