Double heart ponytail 2020

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Today I will share how to make another nice heart hairstyle!

Required items: brush, comb tail comb, spray bottle, 2 ponytail holders, 7-8 small hair ties, spray wax, hair spray and ribbon {if desired}.

Time required: 5-10 minutes

Difficulty: Medium

Step by step instructions:

1. Start with a ponytail and secure with a rubber band. Rylan has pretty thick and heavy hair, so I’ve added a second rubber band for extra strength. I moved a bit forward for a bit of volume.
2. With the end of my comb, I cut off a piece of hair on the ponytail. You do not want to get too much hair, but you only need enough to make 4 small braids with it.
3. Turn up the split section and hold it temporarily.
Divide into 5 parts with the lower / ponytail hairs and fasten with a temporary clip or rubber band.
4. Now go back to the top section you had on the page. Dividing into 4 sections. At this point, you should have 4 above and 5 below.
5. With each of the 4 sections, create 4 regular 3-strand braids on about half of the strand of hair and secure with an elastic. The braids will become your heart. The length you will braid will be the size of your heart.
6. Place the braids between the 5 sections below. You should have a pattern of hair, braid, hair, braid, hair, braid, hair, braid, hair.
7. Drop your braids. Pick up the 5 ponytail and pull up with a rubber band.
Just beside the ponytail, pick up your braids and pull up just enough to get small bows.
8. Move on and adjust by creating your hearts with the pigtails. If you have the size you like, take your ponytail and heart end and secure with a rubber band.
9. Go back and release all elastics from your 4 microplugs.
10. Now go back to your micro braids and create a good heart shape. I used some spray wax to shape my shape.
11. I added a red ribbon around the ponytail elastics to accentuate the hearts and finished with hairspray.
