3 simple headband hairstyles 2020

Did you know that there are a few perks in winter? Yes, I said Perk and Winter in the same sentence. Winter is really great to wear a headband or a hat to make your morning easy! Today I show you 3 simple hairstyles that you can wear with a winter headband.

# 1 is a cute braided bun. It’s simple but still a bit sophisticated so you can wear it at work or at a dressy event.

# 2 is stacked fishtail braids. There is a soft boho feel that looks pretty with an added headband. If the stacked fish tails are too much for you, you can easily make two regular fishtail braids.

# 3 is a sporty look with a pull-through ponytail. Add your headband and you’re ready for the slopes or any other winter getaway.

Required items: brush, rat tail comb, spray bottle, hair ties, hairpins, hairspray {if desired}.

Time required: 3-5 minutes

Difficulty: Easy

Step by step instructions:

Braided bread roll

1. Begin by putting on your headband and putting it around your neck.
2. Pull all your hair into a high ponytail and secure with a rubber band.
3. Once your ponytail is where you want it, you can put on your headband.
4. Split a small part of the hair from your ponytail and cut it out of the way.
5. Take a new rubber band with your ponytail and wrap it around your ponytail. At the last twist, just pull the hair halfway to form a loop. This will be the front of your bun.
6. Take a small part of your loop, turn it lightly and secure it with a bobby. Continue to twist and poke until you like what it looks like. This should be distributed to make the front half of your bun.
7. Pick up the remaining hair on the back, roll it up and put it in the rubber band. This creates the back half of your bun.
8. Again, twist and prick your hair with hairpins until you have created the back half of your bun.
9. Pick up the small part of the hair you cut off at the beginning. Divide into 3 parts and start a 3-thread braid. Go back every few stitches and knead the edges for a nice fluffy braid.
10. At the end of the hair, secure your braid with a small rubber band.
11. Wrap your braid around your bread roll and secure yourself with hair clips. Be sure to put your ends under and secure with a hair clip.
12. Finish with hairspray {if desired}.

Double fishtail

1. Put your hair in the middle and put on your headband.
2. Pick up your hair on one side. Divide a small section of hair from the inside (closest to your neck) and set it aside.
3. Divide the remaining hair into two sections and start an inverted fishtail braid. From the outside cut off a small piece of hair, undercut and put on the other side. Alternating this process from each side to the bottom of the hair. Secure with a small rubber band. Go back and pull on the edges of your fish’s tail to create more volume.
4. Pick up the little piece of hair you put away. Divide it into 3 parts and create a regular 3-strand braid. Braid your hair and secure it with a small rubber band.
5. Place your 3-strand braid in the center of your fishtail and tie it down with a small rubber band.
6. Take a few hairpins and attach the 3-strand braid to the fishtail. (see video for further instructions).
7. Remove additional rubber bands from the bottom braid.
8. Repeat steps 2 through 7 on the other side of your head.

Pull through ponytail

1. Put on your headband and put it around your neck. Tighten your hair into a ponytail. If you have thick / heavy hair, you can use two elastics to keep your ponytail safe.
2. Pull up your headband and place it where you like it.
3. Take a small section of hair from your ponytail hair and wrap around your ponytail a few times. Insert the remaining hair through your rubber band with a sharp tail tool. If you do not have a Topsy Tail Tool, you can give us a Bobby Pin to secure the hair around the ponytail elastically.
4. Divide your ponytail hair into two sections: top and bottom.
5. Divide the lower part into two parts. Bring it up and over the top, put it back together and fasten it with a small rubber band. Go back and pull something along the edges to create more volume.
